Publication Ethics
The International Journal of Management Research & Innovation (IJMRI) is firmly committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. We strictly adhere to the Core Practices and Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
Responsibilities of Authors:
- Submit only original work that has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another journal.
- Ensure accuracy of data and avoid fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation.
- Attribute authorship only to those who have made significant intellectual contributions (per ICMJE criteria) and disclose all contributors using the CRediT taxonomy.
- Disclose all sources of funding and any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest.
- Obtain necessary permissions for copyrighted material and ensure ethical treatment of human or animal subjects with appropriate institutional approvals.
- Share data and materials where possible and include a data availability statement.
Responsibilities of Editors & Reviewers:
- Make decisions based solely on scholarly merit, originality, and relevance, without regard to authors’ race, gender, nationality, religion, or institutional affiliation.
- Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and ensure fair, unbiased handling.
- Investigate allegations of misconduct thoroughly and follow COPE guidelines for corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern.
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely reviews.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and not use unpublished information for personal advantage.
- Declare any conflicts of interest and decline review invitations when appropriate.
Handling Misconduct
Allegations of plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, or other ethical breaches are investigated confidentially by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with the Editorial Board. Proven misconduct may result in rejection, retraction, publication bans, and notification of authors’ institutions or funding bodies. IJMRI uses iThenticate/Turnitin for routine plagiarism screening and reserves the right to employ additional forensic tools when necessary.
