Plagiarism Screening

IJMRI uses iThenticate or similar plagiarism detection software to screen all submitted manuscripts for textual similarity and potential plagiarism, including self-plagiarism (redundant publication).

Process:

  • Pre-Submission: Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure their work is original and properly cited.
  • Screening Process: The editorial office conducts an initial similarity check. Manuscripts with a high similarity index or problematic overlap are examined in detail.
  • Action: Cases of suspected plagiarism are handled per COPE guidelines. Depending on severity, actions range from requesting revision with proper citation to rejection, retraction of published articles, and notification of authors' institutions.
